Recently a feature called Event was rolled out for WhatsApp Community. Through this, users can create events on the platform. Now a new tool is going to be added to this feature. Through this, users will be able to set reminders for events in group chats. It is believed that with this, users will not have to remind other users of any event.
wabetainfo reported in its report that the Android 2.24.12.5 beta update available on Google Play Store has revealed that WhatsApp Community is going to be upgraded soon, which will give users the 'Reminder' feature. Its support will be given with future updates.
If you look at the screenshot in the tweet, there is a reminder feature in the event section of WhatsApp. From here, users can easily set reminders for any event. It has a time limit of 30 minutes, 2 hours and 1 day. After the stipulated time is over, users will get a notification related to the event. With this, community members will not have to remind themselves of the event in the group.
It is believed that with the arrival of this feature, important meetings with community members will not be missed. Apart from this, community admins will be able to send timely notifications to all those participants who have agreed to participate in the program.
Work is going on the feature
Work is going on on the WhatsApp Community Reminder feature. It is expected that this feature will be released for beta users in the coming days. At present, no update has been received regarding the stable launch of this feature.
The status feature will be updated soon
If the media reports that came in the past are to be believed, then there is a facility to share a 30-second video on WhatsApp at this time. Now preparations are underway to upgrade this feature. After this update, users will be able to share videos for up to 1 minute on their status. Its testing is ongoing. It is being speculated that it can be rolled out for stable users soon.
