In the WhatsApp settings, in the Storage and Data section, you will see the Media Upload Quality option. As soon as you click on this option, you will see two options, the first is Standard Quality and the second is HD Quality. If you want to spend less mobile data, then you can choose the Standard option from these.

Third feature: If you start seeing any photo or video automatically as soon as it arrives on WhatsApp, it means that the photo is being downloaded automatically.
