Shahi of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh has become a topic of discussion these days. In Shahi, 10th woman has been murdered in a year in different villages. On the other hand, the police has registered a report against an unknown person for murder on behalf of the husband and after the murder, ADG Zone Ramit Sharma, IG Dr. Rakesh Singh, field unit and police from many police stations have reached the spot and the officers have talked to the villagers.

In fact, Sompal, a resident of Hospur village of Shergarh police station in Bareilly, while giving information said that his wife Anita had gone to her maternal home in Khikra village of Fatehganj West at around 7:30 pm on July 1 and the next day she left for her in-laws' house from her maternal home. But she did not return home. Despite a lot of searching, no trace of her was found. After that, Virendra, who went to work in his sugarcane field in village Bhujia Jagir at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, saw the dead body of a woman lying there.

Virendra was shocked to see the dead body. Virendra went to the village and gave all the information to Pradhanpati Rajkumar. When he reached the spot with the villagers, the dead body was not there but when he went 15 feet inside the field, he saw Anita's dead body. The police was informed immediately. After that, the police field unit reached the spot and took the dead body in its custody and sent it for postmortem and filed a report against unknown person on the complaint of the husband.

10 murders in a year

The police also retrieved the CCTV camera footage. When Anita's body was post-mortemed, it was found that she was strangled to death. 9 women have been murdered using the same pattern before, but the killer is still at large. The police have not been able to solve the murders so far. 10 murders in a year using the same pattern raises a big question on the police administration. ADG Zone Ramit Sharma, IG Dr. Rakesh Singh, field unit and police from several police stations reached the spot and the officials talked to the villagers. The ADG said that the accused will be caught soon.

Panic among villagers

At the same time, people are terrified due to the sensational murders of 10 women one after the other in a year. Villagers say that the accused should be arrested soon or else more women may be killed because women are being killed in the same pattern. But the police have not been able to arrest the main accused yet. Now there is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers, women are not even going to work in the fields.
