UIDAI has made a big change in the process of making new Aadhaar cards. Under this, if people of 18 years or above register for Aadhaar, then they can get the card in a maximum of 6 months. After enrollment in the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the person will be verified at the national, state, and district i.e. local level. From now on, this three-tier verification system has come into force.
Now after enrollment from the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, the data of the first person from the center will reach the UIDAI data center located in Bengaluru. From there it will be sent to the capital for verification. After this, it will be sent to the concerned district of the capital. Only after verification at these three levels can a person get an Aadhaar card. The process of verification has been started at the state level and district level.
Change due to fake Aadhaar card!
The new system has been implemented keeping in mind all the aspects related to security. In the first phase of the Aadhaar scheme in 2010-11, after enrollment, people making Aadhaar cards were given the responsibility of making Aadhaar cards along with private agencies. Then the registration was done based on verbal information given by the applicant. Some of these fake Aadhaar cards were made.
10-year-old Aadhaar will have to be updated
According to officials, for those who have Aadhaar cards 10 years or older, it is necessary to update their address and identity. The arrangement for updating the Aadhaar card is done both online and offline. The deadline for online free updates has also been extended thrice. Last month this deadline was fixed from June 14 to September 14. In online updates, it is also mandatory to upload both address and identity-related documents. Without this, the update is not possible. Biometric data (fingerprint, iris scan, or face authentication) is also being updated offline.
