Before he killed himself on a Raipur train track, a 30-year-old man who was thought to be her boyfriend is supposed to have slain a 26-year-old lady, according to police on Sunday, citing preliminary findings.
Whereas earlier in the day, Vishal Garg (30) was found dead on a railway track close to Urkura railway station, Vani Goyal’s corpse was discovered inside a hotel room.
A search was conducted by police on Saturday after Goyal’s family, who lived in the Saraswati police station area, filed a missing person’s report, according to an official.
“A police crew hurried to Nagpur in neighboring Maharashtra after tracking Goyal’s cellphone position there. He claimed, “Police located her phone but were unable to find her.”
According to him, Garg’s corpse was discovered on a train track close to Urkura railway station, within the boundaries of the Khamtarai police station.
Garg lived in the Surguja district’s Ambikapur city.
The source said that shortly after, police were notified that Goyal was found dead on the floor of a room at the Hotel Babylon Inn on Raipur’s Jail Road.
He noted that the postmortem report will determine the precise cause of death, but the preliminary inquiry points to the lady being strangled and beaten to death.
Records and security video indicate that the two arrived at the hotel on Saturday at around 1:30 p.m.
According to the preliminary inquiry, Garg reportedly killed the lady before taking his own life. But an inquiry into the matter is now ongoing,” he said.
