Scammers have made the world's most used app WhatsApp their new destination. The reason behind making WhatsApp their new destination is that WhatsApp has crores of active users. In such a situation, it has become very easy for scammers to cheat people but there are some important safety tips which if you keep in mind, you can save yourself from the evil eye of scammers.

Scammers try different tricks to cheat people and we also end up making some mistakes which prove costly for us. Let us know what are the safety tips that should be kept in mind.

Think before you click

Many times some people send attachment files or unknown links from unknown numbers on WhatsApp and we click on the link without thinking. Due to this mistake, the risk of malware attack and data leak in the device increases.

Avoid giving information

Scammers trap people in such a way that people make the mistake of sharing their banking and card details as well as OTP. If an unknown person on WhatsApp tries to trap you in a web of words and ask for any of these information, then avoid sharing personal information, otherwise you too can become a victim of scam.

Greed is a 'bad thing'

To trap people, scammers lure them with money and as soon as people fall for the scammers' words, the scammers clear their accounts in the blink of an eye.

WhatsApp Safety Features

To keep your WhatsApp account secure, always keep two factor authentication enabled on your account. To ensure that no one can access your account, apply an extra layer of security on your account. To turn on two factor authentication, go to the account option in WhatsApp settings and turn on two factor authentication.
