WhatsApp brings many updates to improve the experience of its users. WhatsApp is now working on a new feature through which if you chat in any language, WhatsApp will do a live translation of it. Work is currently being done on this feature. It is not ready for beta testers yet. It will work with the help of Google's live translation technology.
According to WABetaInfo, a new live translation feature is being developed on WhatsApp, which will work on the device itself. This means that the data can be stored locally on the device instead of sending it to a cloud server. This feature has been seen in WhatsApp for Android version 2.24.15.9.
Users' data will remain safe
According to reports, in the future, users of the popular chatting app will be able to translate any message into another language while chatting. This feature is being known as Google Live Translation technology. It is also being claimed in the reports that the messages will be translated in real time during chatting, but the messages of the users will not be sent to the company's server. In such a situation, it is clear that the data safety of the users has been taken care of in the new update. No information of the users will go out of the app.
How will this feature work
According to the information, this feature will initially work only in Hindi and English languages and later it can be supported in other languages. To access the feature, users may have to download language packs. These translations will happen automatically in the chats and users will not have to take the help of any third party apps.
