The Unique Identification Authority of India issues a child Aadhaar card for children below 5 years of age, which is blue in colour. For minors between 5 and 15 years of age, the Aadhaar card is the same as for adults. Please note that it is made completely free.

No biometrics are taken for Aadhaar card for children below 5 years of age. Only the child's photo is taken for this. It is mandatory to provide Aadhaar of one of the parents. When the child turns five, he has to give biometric data of fingers and iris scan, photo is also taken during the process.There is no charge for any of the services mentioned above. To get your child's Aadhaar made, you have to go to the Aadhaar centre. It cannot be made online.
