Meta-owned instant multimedia messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature, after which voice messages will automatically convert to text. WhatsApp is working on transcribing voice messages. This information has been given by WABetaInfo, which tracks WhatsApp's features. This feature has already been tested on iOS and now it is being tested on Android.
According to the report, this feature will not be active by default, but users will have to tell whether they want transcription of a voice message or not. The new feature WhatsApp is being tested on Android beta version 2.24.15.5. WhatsApp's voice transcription feature will support languages like Hindi, English, Russian, and Spanish.
Let us tell you that WhatsApp is testing another new feature that will improve group messaging and also provide better security. New members in the WhatsApp group will see a reference information of the group. This will make it easier for the member to decide whether to join that group or not. Along with the reference information, a shortcut button will also be seen for group exit. If the new member does not like the group, he will immediately exit the group through this button.
