What is WhatsApp's Favourite Feature?
The Favorites filter is a new feature of WhatsApp that helps you quickly find the people and groups you interact with the most. This feature makes your most used chats and calls into a short list.
How can you use this feature?
There are two ways you can add your favorite contacts and groups to your "Favorites" list:
1. From the chat screen:
- Open WhatsApp.
- At the top of the chat screen, find the "Favorites" filter (it may be hidden initially, swipe right to see the rest of the options).
- Tap "Favorites".
- If you haven't favorited anyone before, there will be an empty list.
- Below you will see "Add to Favorites", tap on it.
- Now select the people or groups you want to favorite.
- Finally, tap Done.
2. From the call screen:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Go to the call screen.
- At the top, it will say "Add to Favorites", tap on it.
- Now choose the people or groups you want to make favorites.
- Finally, tap on Done.
How to manage?
You can change the position of any favorite contact or group by pressing and holding its name for a while and then dragging it up or down. If you want to remove someone from the favorites list, swipe from left to right on their name and tap Remove.
