The Aadhaar card is a document related to the identity of Indian citizens. This government document is used for identity-related works. This is the reason why your government ID should be up-to-date. That is, all the information given in the Aadhaar card should not be old. Information like your name and address on the Aadhaar card should be correct. If you are also thinking of updating the address on the UID card, then it is important to know the documents used for this.

It has been made clear on the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India that documents can be used by Aadhaar card holders. In this article, we are giving information about this.
Which documents will become proof of address?
You can use a valid Indian passport to update the address on the Aadhaar card. However, if you are thinking that you can use your PAN card, then this will not happen. PAN card will not be considered as proof of your address. Similarly, a driver's license cannot become proof of your address, but a ration and e-ration card will be considered as proof of address.
You can use electricity, water, and telephone bills.
You can use the electricity bill to update the address on your Aadhaar card. However, your electricity bill should be 3 months old. Similarly, if the telephone is used in your house, then you can use a telephone landline bill. This should also be 3 months old.

Similarly, you can also use a postpaid mobile bill. The Unique Identification Authority of India says that Aadhaar card holders can use their life and medical insurance policies. However, this policy will be valid only for 1 year from the date of issue.
