Not only the professional criminals but sometimes anger is also a big reason behind a crime. Most of the cases of murders committed in anger are between husband and wife. In our country, the relationship of husband and wife is considered to be of seven lives and not one life. This relationship becomes stronger when both of them have married of their own free will. But in some cases it has been seen that as soon as the marriage takes place, the love between the husband and wife suddenly disappears and estrangement arises.
Surat Wife Murder
On 4th July 2024, 22 year old young female lawyer Nisha Chaudhary was murdered in a hotel room in Surat, the business city of Gujarat. The murderer of the woman was none other than her 27 year old husband Rohit Katkar. According to the police, Rohit Katkar was having differences with his wife since marriage. The tension kept increasing with time.
Rohit Katkar was a CA student, while his wife was a lawyer by profession and practised in the district court. Both had a love marriage but after marriage, the love between them had vanished and they started fighting over small things. Due to this tension, Nisha Chaudhary came to her father's house.
Rohit Katkar had called his wife to talk
In his statement to the police, Rohit Katkar had said that he and Nisha loved each other a lot. Both decided to get married and had a love marriage. After marriage, everything went well between the two for a few days, then gradually they started fighting. Tired of the daily fights, Nisha came to live at her parents' house. When Nisha stayed away for a few days, Rohit called her to a hotel to make peace and stay together.
On Rohit's call, Nisha reached the hotel to talk. While talking, a quarrel started between the two once again which led to a fight. During this fight, Rohit got angry and killed his wife Nisha with a sharp weapon. Rohit, who had gone mad with anger, attacked Nisha with a sharp weapon several times due to which Nisha died on the spot. After killing Nisha, Rohit sat near her dead body the whole night.
This is how the secret of Nisha Chaudhary's murder was revealed
After killing his wife Nisha Chaudhary, Rohit Katkar disappeared. When the family did not get any news of him for several days, the father of the accused Rohit Katkar filed a missing person's report in the police station and named Nisha Chaudhary as a suspect. Surat Police started looking for Rohit on the basis of the father's report. When the police first reached Nisha Chaudhary's house, they found out that Nisha Chaudhary was also missing.
After this, the police took out the call details of both the mobiles and the location was found to be a hotel. When the police went to that hotel and investigated, they found out that Rohit and Nisha had come there on July 4. During this time, the police found Rohit. During the police interrogation, Rohit Katkar confessed to killing his wife and the police recovered her body from the same hotel room.
Arrest of Rohit
Surat police arrested Rohit for the murder of Nisha Chaudhary and also confiscated the weapon used to kill Nisha. After killing his wife, Rohit tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. He survived the overdose but developed a kidney infection.
After arresting the accused Rohit, the police got him treated and after he recovered, presented him in the court from where he was sent to jail. Currently, Rohit Katkar is in jail on the charge of murdering his wife Nisha Chaudhary and is waiting for the punishment for his crime from the court.
