A report by CanalTech claims that phones from Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Sony, LG, and Apple are included in this list. According to the report, Meta has taken this decision keeping security in mind.
List of 35 smartphones in which WhatsApp will not work
The smartphones in which WhatsApp is going to stop working include names of models like Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Moto G, Moto X, and iPhone SE.
Apple: iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE
Samsung: Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Express 2.
Motorola: Moto G, Moto X
Huawei: Ascend P6 S, Ascend G525, Huawei C199, Huawei GX1s, Huawei Y625
Sony: Xperia Z1, Xperia E3
LG: Optimus 4X HD, Optimus G, Optimus G Pro, Optimus L7
Lenovo: Lenovo 46600, Lenovo A858T, Lenovo P70, Lenovo S890
Apart from this, WhatsApp will be closed on all Android phones that have Android 5.0 or earlier versions. For iPhones, this will be applicable on iOS 12 and earlier versions. All these phones will no longer get the new update of WhatsApp.
