The murders are rising in the old city. Even though the checking andother things to maintain law and order are going on, the killings are on the rise. Last night a rowdy was killed by the opponents.
The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. Police are investigating if previous enmity led to the murder. MIM leader in the Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi has raised the issue of killings in the Assembly.
The CM also assured that the police would deal with the situation with an iron hand. But we can say that the situation is not under control.
Riyaz (45), a resident of Baba Nagar against whom a rowdy sheet is open at the Kanchanbagh police station, was returning from work when the incident occurred.
“He could have been murdered following an argument with the persons who are known to him,” the Balapur police said, adding that the locals had alerted the police.
The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination. Footage from surveillance cameras in the colony and lanes leading to it is being collected to identify the killers.
