Now the experience of chatting on WhatsApp is going to change completely. Yes, WhatsApp is going to roll out the customizable chat theme feature very soon in which users will get a completely new chat experience. It will soon be launched for both Android and iOS platforms of WhatsApp.

According to WABetainfo, a website that tracks new features of WhatsApp, the new update aims to enhance the messaging experience by providing more control over the visual interface and allowing users to choose their favorite colors for chat bubbles.

The feature has been launched in the beta version
This feature was first seen in WhatsApp beta for iOS version 24.11.10.70 and later in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.17.19. The screenshot shared shows that WhatsApp is testing a new section where users can choose their default chat theme. While the feature is still under development and hence a preview is not available, the report suggests that there could be at least 10 chat themes available initially.

How will the new chat theme feature work?
WhatsApp has always allowed users to change the chat background, but the colors of the text bubbles cannot be changed. This feature is already available in other meta apps like Instagram and Messenger. With the new update, choosing a new default chat theme will automatically match both the wallpaper and the bubble colors.

The report also states that a future update could include a manual override option, allowing users to customize specific chat bubbles and wallpaper colors for individual conversations.

The new feature, which is currently in development on WhatsApp beta for iOS, is also expected to be included in a future Android update, as seen in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.17.19 from the Google Play Store.
