Now that the festival of Rakshabandhan has passed, despite this, the government in the country's largest state Uttar Pradesh has announced to give free LPG cylinders to crores of people. However, for this, people will have to wait for about two and a half months. 

 

 

The government will give free gas cylinders to crores of people of the state

Actually, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh had announced in November last year that the beneficiaries will be given free LPG cylinders twice a year (Holi and Diwali). He made this announcement under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. After Holi in March, now on Diwali, the state government will give free LPG cylinders to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana. It is to be said that on Diwali, free gas cylinders will be given to crores of people of the state. Only those people can take advantage of this scheme, who are residents of Uttar Pradesh. To take advantage of this scheme, the beneficiaries will have to link their bank account with Aadhaar. Along with this, this scheme is available only for one connection. For your information, let us tell you that the number of beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh is about two crores. 

 

Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana was launched in the year 2016

For your information, let us tell you that the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2016. Under this, more than 9 crore free LPG connections have been given in the country. Under the scheme, the central government gives a subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder. Whereas earlier this subsidy was given at Rs 200.
