Uttar Pradesh government has already started this scheme

This scheme has already been announced in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced to give free LPG cylinders to the people. But to fulfill this announcement of the government, we will have to wait for about two and a half months. The Uttar Pradesh government had announced in November last year that the beneficiaries will get free LPG gas cylinders twice a year on Holi and Diwali.

Free cylinder will be available on Diwali in Uttar Pradesh

After Holi in Uttar Pradesh, now on Diwali, the state government will give free gas cylinders to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme. Only residents of Uttar Pradesh can avail the benefits of this scheme. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the beneficiaries will have to link their bank account with Aadhaar.

Ujjwala scheme launched in 2016

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Ujjwala scheme in 2016. Under this scheme, more than nine crore free gas connections have been provided in the country so far. Free gas cylinder guarantee has also been announced in Andhra Pradesh.
