If we talk about the last decade, then digitalization in the country has spread across the world and if we talk about India, then the central government of the country runs various schemes to help the economically weaker people of their country, the Modi government has made the process of cooking much easier by changing the country from traditional earthen stoves to modern gas cylinders. Today, gas cylinders are a staple in almost every household, making cooking faster and more convenient. The Government of India has implemented several schemes to promote and support the use of gas cylinders, especially for the needy, one such scheme is the Ujjwala Yojana which is designed to provide free gas connections to economically deprived women. This scheme not only gives the initial gas connection free of cost but also gives a subsidy on cylinder refills

The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana need to be aware of their rights and the process of resolving complaints when they face problems. Let's know about it-

Cost and Subsidy: Under the Ujjwala scheme, a gas cylinder costs ₹603, out of which ₹300 is refunded to the beneficiary's account as subsidy. If you are asked to pay more than this amount for a refill, it could be a sign that you are being overcharged.
