A new feature is coming in the Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp, after which users will be able to choose the default theme for the app. Currently, the WhatsApp theme depends on the theme of the user's phone settings, but this will not happen after the new update.
To understand this with an example, if the dark mode is on in the phone, then WhatsApp will also work in dark mode, but after the new update, the theme of WhatsApp can be changed even if the phone's theme is dark. According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature of WhatsApp is being tested on Android's beta version 2.24.18.6.
At present it is difficult to say when its final update will be released. WABetaInfo has also shared a screenshot of this feature in which two different themes can be seen with green color. Green can be replaced with black. A similar feature was also seen on WhatsApp last month.
