WhatsApp to soon offer voice chat mode for Meta AI

WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will allow users to communicate with Meta AI using their voice.

This information was revealed in the latest beta update for Android, (version 2.24.18.18), available through the Google Play Beta Program.

The voice chat mode for Meta AI within WhatsApp is still under development and not yet accessible to beta testers, but its existence has been confirmed by WABetaInfo.

The voice chat mode will enable real-time conversations with Meta AI using voice commands.

This feature is expected to offer a hands-free interaction experience, allowing users to communicate more naturally and efficiently with the chatbot.

Meta AI will respond using a chosen voice that users can select based on their preferences.

Shortcut for voice chat mode and privacy control

WhatsApp is also testing a shortcut to activate the voice chat mode with Meta AI.

Users can simply press the floating action button within the chats list to start voice interactions with the chatbot.

Additionally, users will have the option to disable this mode at any time by exiting the chat or switching to text mode, ensuring they maintain control over their privacy during interactions with Meta AI.
