Police have discovered that a conflict between Vanraj Andekar, a former corporator, and his sisters and their spouses may have contributed to the shock assault that murdered him in Pune. In response to a complaint made by Mr. Andekar’s father, Bandu Andekar, Mr. Andekar’s sisters Sanjeevani and Kalyani, as well as his brothers-in-law Jayant and Ganesh, were placed under custody.
The defendants reportedly thought that Vanraj Andekar had issued an order against their store for encroachment when he was a corporator of Pune Municipal Corporation. Just hours before Mr. Andekar was assaulted by guys on bikes brandishing guns and sickles, the siblings got into a fight this morning.

“There are now four people under arrest. These are the brothers-in-law and sisters of the victim. Ten persons are mentioned in the FIR, along with five unidentified suspects. The other accused is being sought for by our teams. Preliminary reports indicate that a property dispute was the cause of the event. The investigation will provide the facts on a number of concerns that need to be looked at, according to Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma.

“Yesterday morning, we got a report stating that there was a heated dispute between the two parties. They were advised to return home and given counseling since it was a family concern. After then, this incidence happened at night. “The situation is under investigation, and the investigation will verify if this was the cause of the assault.

He claims the FIR states that one of the sisters said, “Kill him,” during the morning altercation. According to the top police officer, this information is also being looked at.

Last night, a terrifying assault in Pune’s Nana Peth neighborhood claimed Mr. Andekar’s life. A CCTV camera recorded footage of at least 12 males arriving to Mr. Andekar’s property on six two-wheelers. They may be seen pointing guns. At that moment, the former corporator was by himself.

“Vanraj Andekar was shot five bullets at. They also used long-bladed sickles to assault him. He was sent to KEM Hospital dead. Primary information indicates that Andekar had several injuries from sharp weapons,” Joint Commissioner of Police Sharma said, adding that the whole picture would be revealed in the comprehensive autopsy report.

The Pune crime branch is looking into the situation. Prior to the Pune municipal body being placed under the administration of the state government, Mr. Andekar served as a corporator. He belonged to the NCP faction headed by Ajit Pawar.
