Ranchi: The three convicts serving life sentence in the murder case of Jamshedpur's big businessman and owner of Shrileaders Ashish Dey have got a big relief from Jharkhand High Court. On Tuesday, the court cancelled the life sentence of Jitendra Kumar Singh, Amlesh Kumar Singh and Vinod Kumar Singh.

The high court had reserved its verdict on the criminal appeal filed by the three convicts on August 13. While delivering the verdict on Tuesday, the court has cancelled the life imprisonment sentence of all three. Ashish Dey was shot dead near a mango orchard in Jamshedpur on November 2, 2007. Six people, including Ashish Dey's wife, had testified in the case. Jamshedpur Civil Court had found all the three accused guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment on September 17, 2011. All the three had filed a criminal appeal petition in the high court against the decision of the lower court.
