LPG Gas Cylinder Safety Precautions: Currently, the use of LPG gas cylinders has increased. Every house has a gas cylinder. But sometimes huge gas cylinders explode while cooking. Women are very scared not knowing what to do in such times. But accidents can be avoided if some precautions are taken while using gas cylinder. Let's know how it is..

Safety measures:

  • Only ISI marked LPG gas cylinders should be used. At the time of delivery of the gas cylinder, check whether the cylinder seal is correct or not.
  • First check for leakage of LPG cylinder before use. The cylinder should always be kept in a ventilated area.
  • It is better to install a gas detector in the room where the gas cylinder is located. It will alert you if there is gas leakage from the cylinder.
  • Inspect and maintain LPG stove and connections regularly to prevent gas leakage.
  • Turn off the gas supply immediately after cooking. Also, it is better to check that the gas is off before going to bed at night while going out.
  • LPG stove and connections should be checked regularly to avoid gas leakage. Always keep children away from kitchen and LPG cylinder.
  • Open windows in case of accidental gas leakage. Contact the LPG supplier or emergency services.

No Delivery Charge:

  • There is no need to pay delivery charges for home delivered LPG cylinders. This has been clarified by HPCL.
  • It is the duty of the gas staff to deliver gas to the customer's house, be it ground floor or apartments.
  • The customer has the right to refuse payment if the delivery person asks for additional charges.
  • A man named Karim Ansari from Hyderabad had filed an RTI application against HPCL in this regard.
  • Responding to this, HPCL has clarified that customers do not have to pay extra for cylinder delivery.
