WhatsApp will soon offer you more control over contact syncing

WhatsApp is currently developing a new privacy feature that will allow users to manage their contact syncing.

This information was revealed in the latest beta update for Android, version 2.24.19.12, available through the Google Play Beta Program.

The feature is still under development and will not be accessible to beta testers at this stage. However, it is expected to be included in a future update of the app, per WABetaInfo.

Users will have the flexibility to re-enable the contact syncing feature at any time.

Once activated, all contacts will be automatically backed up on WhatsApp and can be restored to their account when adding a new linked device or reinstalling the app.

This ensures that their contact list is always available across all devices connected to their account until they choose to disable this feature again.
