Popular Bollywood actor Malaika Arora’s father Anil Arora died by suicide on Wednesday.

According to news agency ANI, Anil Arora died by jumping off the terrace of a building in Mumbai. Police team is present at the spot.

So far, the police have not received a suicide note. An investigation into the death has been launched.

According to media reports, Amil Arora was unwell for a long time.

The body has been sent for autopsy. The building has been cordoned off.

Malaika Arora’s former husband Arbaaz Khan reportedly reached the spot following the incident.

Anil Arora, a former Merchant Navy officer, was married to  Joyce Polycarp. They separated when Malaika Arora was 11.

In a recent interview, Malaika Arora revealed that although she had a “wonderful” childhood, it was not always easy and added that there were “tumultuous” times.
