Updating the address

Visit the Aadhaar card center: Visit the nearest Aadhaar card center with your wife.

Get the update form: Request the address update form from the Aadhaar center operator.

Fill out the form: Fill the form with the required information including the new address.

Submit proof of address: Provide a copy of your Aadhaar card as proof of the new address.

Additional documents: It is also advisable to attach a marriage certificate or marriage card as additional proof.

Biometric verification: Your wife's photo will be taken for biometric verification.

Get updated Aadhaar: The updated Aadhaar card will be processed and should be available in a few days. You can choose to apply for a new Aadhaar card at the new address or download the updated version online.

Changing surname

Request new form: Get the surname change form from the Aadhaar center.

Fill out the form: Enter the new surname in the form.

Provide proof: Attach a copy of the marriage certificate or marriage card along with your Aadhaar card.

Apply: Submit the completed form and documents to the Aadhaar center.

Biometric process: Like the address update, biometric verification will be done

Get updated Aadhaar: The surname will be updated, and you can either get a new Aadhaar card or download the updated version online.
