Today, whether it is a city or a village, gas cylinders have become an important part of homes, earlier there was a time when traditional stoves were used to cook food. Gas has made the work easier. With this ease comes some risks. Therefore, we should adopt safety measures while using gas cylinders. In such a situation, gas leaks can be a common thing, but they can cause a big accident, if gas is leaking in your kitchen, then do these things immediately-
Immediate ventilation: If you detect a gas leak, immediately open all windows and doors so that the area can be ventilated.
Avoid sources of ignition: Do not light matches, candles or other sources of ignition when you suspect a leak. Because even a small spark can ignite a fire.
Turn off the regulator: Turn off the regulator connected to the gas cylinder as soon as it is safe to do so. Not turning off the regulator may cause gas to continue to leak.
Handle with care: If gas continues to leak even after turning off the regulator, carefully remove the regulator and place a safety cap on the cylinder.
Contact your gas agency: After securing the cylinder, immediately inform your gas agency about the leak. They will provide guidance and may replace the cylinder if necessary.
Safety first: In cases of severe leakage, it is best to completely remove the cylinder from the house before taking further action.
