A record 10 days were used to produce the charge sheet. According to Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi, it comprises sophisticated forensic evidence and the testimony of 150 witnesses.

The six-year-old pupil in the Dahod area was reportedly choked to death on September 23 by the principal of her school after her refusal to comply with his advances toward a sexual assault. He then disposed of her shoes and bag next to the classroom and her corpse on the school’s grounds.

Modern forensic methods, such as digital evidence, forensic DNA analysis, and forensic biological analysis, were used by the police to establish a strong case against Govind Natt, the 55-year-old defendant.

Using DNA testing, forensic specialists verified the accused’s participation using epithelial cells recovered from the murder site. The recovery of these tiny cells from physical contact during the crime was crucial in establishing the connection between the suspect and the offense.

Officials said that the charge sheet “aims to ensure the harshest punishment for the accused and brings the case closer to justice, supported by forensic evidence and eyewitness testimonies.”

To recreate the incident and examine witness statements, forensic psychological profiling, drone crime scene mapping, and forensic statement analysis were used in addition to DNA analysis. Thanks to the technology, it was possible to get psychological knowledge of how the crime was committed and gain important insights into the chain of events.

To find out whether the young victim had been poisoned, a forensic chemical test was conducted. Furthermore, the car used in the crime was cleaned in an effort to remove evidence, but traces were still discovered and examined, according to forensic vehicle analysis. Additional forensic voice spectrography was carried out, revealing recordings of the defendant threatening a witness, which strengthened the case even more.

Minister Sanghvi underlined the importance of these forensic methods in obtaining factual information, particularly when firsthand witnesses are not accessible. Amit Nair, the Special Public Prosecutor, was chosen to make sure the accused was prosecuted strictly and promptly.
