News Daily Digital Desk: The proposal was already known. Now the RBI has announced that transaction. The central bank has given good news for those who use UPI during Puja. From now on they will be able to transact more money from here.
This was announced by RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das on Wednesday. Shaktikanta Das said, “UPI has become a very important part of today's society. Every Indian has become accustomed to this transaction. Everyone can easily transact through it. The online system of the country has become much easier as a result. It will be good for the country if its currency transactions are increased in the coming days.”
But RBI has also informed that every online transaction is under their watch. So no one can get rid of it. Incidentally, in the last 10 years, the Center has taken initiatives to build Digital India. Emphasis is also placed on cashless economy. A very important part of that effort is the UPI transaction system. The trend of using UPI among our population has increased dramatically during the Covid pandemic and its aftermath. That is why the Reserve Bank of India is thinking of increasing the upper limit of transactions.
A couple of months ago, India's Digital India project was widely praised at the United Nations. United Nations General Assembly President Dennis Francis said the way online banking has been brought to remote villages in India by providing digital services has lifted many people out of poverty. At least 80 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. Taking the example of India, the President of the United Nations General Assembly said that developing countries should take such initiatives.
