Only a few days after the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati express derailed after colliding with a cargo train, a catastrophic catastrophe was avoided in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. On Sunday, in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, an empty LPG cylinder was found on the railroad track close to the Dhandhera railway station.

After seeing the cylinder, the train’s driver quickly notified the railway authorities, preventing a potential accident. The cylinder was discovered to be empty as soon as the authorities saw it. A railway official said that a First Information Report (FIR) had been filed at a Roorkee local police station.
“At 06:35, the Roorkee (RK) Station Master was notified by the loco pilot of a goods train (BCNHL/32849) that a cylinder had been discovered on the track between Landaura (LDR) and Dhandhera (DNRA) at km 1553/01. The location is around a kilometer from the DNRA station, according to CPRO Northern Railways Himanshu Upadhyay.
“Pointsman arrived at the location right away and discovered the cylinder was empty. Later, it was given to the Dhandhera Station Master’s care. GRP and the local police have been notified. In the local PS in Civil Lines, Roorkee, a FIR is being filed,” he said.
This is happening as repairs are being made at Kavaraipettai, Tamil Nadu, after the derailing of the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati express due to its collision with a freight train. On October 11, at around 7:30 p.m., the Train No. 12578 Mysuru – Darbhanga Bagmati Express derailed after colliding with a stalled goods train near Kavaraipettai.
The Indian Railways said in an official statement that the train crew “experienced heavy jerk” as it “entered the loop/line and collided with a stable goods train in the loop line.”.
The Southern Railway and the Tamil Nadu government apparatus moved quickly after the disaster to put out a flaming carriage and rescue the passengers.
Cranes have so far been used to remove ten coaches, including nine AC coaches and a power car from Train No. 12578 Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express, which collided with a cargo train on October 11 at 8.30 p.m. near Kavaraipettai.
