Free LPG Cylinder: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to give a big gift to women before Diwali. On Diwali this year, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the UP government will provide free LPG cylinders to 1.85 crore beneficiaries. In this regard, CM Yogi Adityanath has issued an order and directed the officials to make all kinds of arrangements before Diwali so that all the beneficiaries can get the benefit of this scheme on time.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath said in his order that on the occasion of Diwali, free LPG cylinders will be distributed to all the beneficiaries of 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana'. All the formalities in this regard should be completed on time. In all cases, LPG cylinders should be available at the homes of all beneficiaries before Diwali.

Last year, 85 lakh beneficiaries got free cylinders.

This year, the UP government will provide free LPG cylinders to 1.85 crore beneficiaries on Diwali under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Last year, 85 lakh women beneficiaries got free LPG cylinders under this scheme. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, apart from Diwali, free LPG cylinders will also be given on Holi.

Central and state governments will provide subsidies.

Let us tell you that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the central government is giving a subsidy of 300 rupees on LPG cylinders, while the remaining money will be given by the state government. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana have to get LPG cylinders first. After this, the subsidy amount will be sent to their account. However, the bank account has to be linked with the Aadhaar card.
