Andhra Pradesh government is finally ready to implement the scheme of 3 free gas cylinders after much difficulty. The decision to start this scheme from Diwali was taken before the elections. The reason for this is Karnataka. There they give 3 free cylinders on Diwali, Sankranti and Ugadi. They wanted to give the same in AP. That is why this scheme is being launched on Diwali. But.. they did not say that they would give 3 free cylinders for Diwali, Sankranti and Ugadi. Even if there are procedures, there is no clarity on this.
Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said that even if there is no money in the treasury, we are starting this scheme anyway. He participated in the village festival held at Sangam Jagarlamudi, Guntur District, Tenali Mandal. He said that despite all the financial difficulties, the promises made by CM Chandrababu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan are being implemented. Also regarding this scheme, he said some things.
There are 1.40 crore ration card holders in the state. 3 gas cylinders are provided free per year to every family. It is estimated that the implementation of this scheme will cost more than Rs.3,640 crores annually. Similar to this, there is a free gas cylinder scheme in Uttar Pradesh. It will also be started from Diwali. But it started 10 days earlier. It is known that in AP, it will start on Diwali.
It is said that Diwali falls on October 31. If we start on that day. From then, there will be 5 months till March 31, 2025, the financial year ending. 3 free cylinders are to be availed within these 5 months. If they can't get that, take only 2, they don't have a 3rd cylinder anymore. Since the new financial year starts on April 1. if you take a free cylinder after April. It will not be included in the freebies this year. It will go towards the account of 3 cylinders given next year.
Those who take 3 free cylinders.. should use them as per the plan. The cylinder taken for Diwali.. should be planned to be completed in 2 to 2 and a half months. Then for 2nd cylinder.. can apply in January. If you plan to finish it in March.. and book the third cylinder after March 15.. exactly before the end of the financial year.. you will get 3 cylinders. This will save more than Rs.2,500.
