As a result, this film has turned out to be such a monumental flop that it has earned the title of the biggest disaster in Bollywood history. We’re talking about Ajay Bahl’s crime thriller The Lady Killer, featuring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. With a budget of ₹45 crore, the film faced multiple production delays and was finally released in November 2023—but not without issues. The release felt more like an afterthought, as it premiered in only a handful of theaters nationwide. In fact, many cinemas seemed hesitant to acquire its rights.

After its dismal theatrical run, the makers of The Lady Killer had no choice but to consider an OTT release. However, nearly a year later, the film still hasn’t found a home on any streaming platform. Originally, it was set to debut on OTT, but delays in production caused all platforms to back out. As a result, the film ended up being released in theaters instead.

Neither Arjun Kapoor nor Bhumi Pednekar have commented on the film since its release. In a last-ditch effort, the creators decided to upload it for free on YouTube. Surprisingly, it garnered 500,000 views in just one day. Now, after about a month, it has reached an impressive 2.6 million views, demonstrating that even amidst its struggles, it has found an audience online.
