Oil marketing companies on Friday increased the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, which affected the business across the country soon after Diwali.
The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 62, taking its price to Rs 1,802 in Delhi. Earlier it was priced at Rs 1,740. The price of smaller cylinders has also seen an increase; the price of a 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder has been increased by Rs 15. However, there has been no change in the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder.
These new prices are now effective. This change will affect businesses and commercial establishments using LPG cylinders. Restaurants, hotels, and small businesses may see an increase in operating costs due to these price hikes.
This adjustment follows the last increase made on October 1, when prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 48.50 and 5 kg FTL cylinders by Rs 12. The revised prices are in response to changing global market conditions.
With no change in domestic LPG prices, households will not experience an increase in LPG costs, providing some relief amid rising commercial gas prices.
