The terrible event in Kandivali West saw 11 stray dogs slaughtered, bundled into bags, and dumped in a gutter, with three more missing. Pure Animal Lover (PAL) filed a lawsuit against anonymous persons.
Sainagar homeowners and dog lovers Rohit Kumar and Rakesh Mukka realized the strays they fed had been gone for days. Concerned, they searched the sewer and found bags with gruesomely severed dogs’ legs and necks.
They informed PAL, which investigated further. Two additional corpses were recovered in the sewer on Monday. Altogether, 14 dogs have vanished, with 11 corpses found. This unsettling situation is being probed by police.
