Cyber crime is increasing in the country and the world. People are suffering huge losses due to cyber crime. SIM cards are being issued fraudulently on people's Aadhaar cards. Criminals use our Aadhaar cards to issue SIM cards in such a way that we do not even know about it. According to the Department of Telecommunications, a person can issue a maximum of nine mobile numbers on one ID. Aadhaar card is most commonly used for issuing new SIM cards.
These days, cases of getting SIM cards using someone else's Aadhaar card are coming to light. For this, the Department of Telecommunications has launched an online portal - Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAF-COP) - through which it can be checked how many mobile numbers are registered on the Aadhaar card.
How to check how many SIM cards have been issued on one Aadhaar card.
- For this, you will first have to visit the TAF-COP website. Here is its link https://tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in/telecomUser/
- When the website opens, you will have to enter your mobile number.
- After this you will have to fill the captcha code and click on Request OTP.
- You enter the OTP and click on login.
- After this you will see the list of mobile numbers registered on your ID.
- You should check this and verify that all these numbers belong to you or your relatives.
- If you have any kind of doubt then you can use the three options given like- Not my number, Not required and Required.
