WhatsApp is now introducing a faster way for users to react to messages in chat. This feature allows users to open the reaction tray by simply double-tapping on a message, which is a faster alternative to the previous method of long-pressing the message.
Also shared a screenshot showing this feature, where users can easily open the reaction tray by double-tapping to add their quick reactions like emojis. This enhancement is expected to save time for users who regularly engage in chat reactions.
Retaining the previous method
Despite the introduction of the new double-tap reaction method, WhatsApp will continue to support the traditional long-press method for users who prefer it. This offers flexibility, allowing users to react to messages in the way that is most convenient for them.
