Now you can search old messages just by entering the date. WhatsApp has released a new feature a few days ago. For this, you have to go to the chat whose message you want to search. Now click on the profile name. After this, click on the search bar visible at the bottom.

Now the calendar icon will be visible on the left, click on it and enter the date for which you want to see the message. After selecting the date, all the messages of that date will appear. You can see up to 6 months old messages with this trick.
