The government has ordered all those Aadhar card holders whose Aadhar card is 10 years old to update their Aadhar. This order is two years old and the government is giving people three months every time. If you also have a 10-year-old Aadhar card, then you have to get your Aadhar updated. For this, the date of 14 September 2024 was earlier fixed, which is now 14 December 2024, although only a few days are left in this too, so you should get your Aadhar updated immediately. Let's know the way...
These documents will be needed for the Aadhar update
You will need two important documents for the Aadhar update. First identity card and second address proof. Usually, a fee of Rs 50 is charged at the Aadhar center for Aadhar updates, but according to UIDAI, this service is free till June 14. You can give a PAN card as an identity card and a voter card for the address.
How to update Aadhar yourself
Go to the UIDAI website from mobile or laptop. After this, click on the option of Update Aadhaar. Now enter the Aadhaar number and log in through OTP. After this click on Document Update and verify.
Now upload the scanned copy of your identity card and address proof from the drop list below. Now click on Submit. After this you will get a request number and the form will be submitted. You will also be able to check the status of the update with the request number. After a few days, your Aadhaar will be updated.
