The dispute that started on December 2 in Amtaura village of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh over parking of bikes and bicycles on the road turned into a bloody conflict on December 3. In this incident, one person died due to bullet injury, while a woman was injured. In this case, the police had registered a case against five people. The matter is between Nishad and Thakur castes. However, police forces are still deployed in the area. There is heavy police deployment in the area.

At the same time, politics has also started heating up on this whole issue. Leaders also started visiting the family of the deceased to console them. Not only this, three policemen have also been suspended for negligence in the incident. There was a dispute going on regarding the road for a long time between Shivdhani Sahni and Pateshwari Singh, residents of Amtaura village of Gida police station area.

Mundan ceremony was held at home

There was a Mundan ceremony at Shivdhani's house. During this time the visitors had parked their bikes and bicycles on the way. Meanwhile, Pateshwari's son Shashi Shankar passed by and asked to remove the vehicles from the road. Controversy started regarding this. It is said that Shivdhani's family members Shashi Shankar and his elder mother Brija Devi were beaten. After this the police arrived and made both the parties understand and sent them back. They were also asked to return after getting medical examination done the next day, but no one from both the parties arrived. Both the parties were trying to settle the matter in their own way.

In the afternoon the people of Shivdhani Paksha went to Shiv Shankar's house. During this, Shiv Shankar took out his father's licensed gun and when the conversation escalated, he fired. Shiv Dhani died in this incident, while his wife Hemlata was injured. In this matter, the police had registered a case against Shashi Shankar alias Piklu Singh, his brothers Atom, Ajay, Vijay and Sachin on the complaint of Shivdhani's son Abhishek.

As soon as information about the incident was received, state in-charge of Nishad Party and Chaurichaura MLA Sarwan Nishad reached the village and demanded strict action against the accused. There is a good number of Kshatriya and Nishad castes in this village. Due to this incident there has been tension in their relationship.

Accusations made against the police

Regarding the incident, people say that the police also acted negligently. Had he taken the matter seriously in time, such a big incident would not have happened. Instead of taking action, the police consoled them and sent both the parties home. They were asked to come the next day, but both the parties did not arrive and started settling the matter in their own way. Seeing the negligence of the police, SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover suspended Inspector Ajay Raj Yadav, constable Jitendra Yadav and Ashish Verma of Gida police station. Also, a departmental inquiry has been ordered against him.

On the other hand, Shivdhani's family sat on strike with their eight-point demands. He said that the culprit in the case is the SHO of Gida police station, he should be dismissed. My family should be given a compensation of one crore rupees. Get a government job. Arms license should be given, so that in future we can protect ourselves. Bulldozers should be used on the houses of the culprits.

Not only this, the engagement of the deceased's daughter took place on November 22 and her marriage is going to take place on May 13, 2025, all her expenses should be paid. Only then will we perform the last rites of the dead body. In such a situation, SP North Jitendra Srivastava and SDM Sahjanwa Deepak Gupta tried to convince him, but when things did not work out, they got him to talk to District Magistrate Krishna Karunesh. The District Magistrate said that all your demands will be fulfilled. The administration will make every possible effort for this. After that the family got ready to perform the last rites of the dead body.

On getting information about the incident, former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Jaiprakash Nishad also reached the spot and talked to the administration to fulfill the demands of the victims. Apart from this, leaders of other parties are also arriving.

SP North Jitendra Srivastava said that all the accused involved in the incident have been arrested by the police. The licensed gun used in the incident has also been recovered. In view of the tension in the village, additional forces have been deployed. Under no circumstances will caste conflict or any other kind of violence be allowed. If any party acts arbitrarily, strict action will be taken against it.
