WhatsApp Channels have become very popular today. Many brands have also got millions of followers on their channels. Seeing its popularity, the company is also introducing new features for the channel. WhatsApp has released a new update for its Channels feature, which is currently available in beta version. This new feature allows users to quickly share, view, and follow channels using QR codes. The feature is now available for testing on the recent WhatsApp beta version of iOS and Android and is likely to be released for all users soon.
QR codes of WhatsApp channels can also be exported to other apps
This new feature has been spotted by WABetaInfo on the latest beta version of WhatsApp. Users who have updated to WhatsApp Beta 2.24.25.7 for Android or WhatsApp Beta 24.24.10.76 for iOS can test this feature.
How does this feature work?
Users who have this feature activated will need to go to their WhatsApp channel's info panel.
There, under the sharing option, they will find the option to generate a QR code.
Once the QR code is created, users can share it via WhatsApp or other messaging apps.
The QR code is shared as an image that can be sent via third-party apps, email, or even printed.
This feature can be especially beneficial for businesses that want to provide their customers with an easy way to follow a channel.
