As we all know WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app in the world. Which has more than 3 billion followers in the world, and offers many features to enhance the experience of these users, recently WhatsApp has introduced a new barcode feature which aims to improve user privacy and make it easier to connect with others without revealing your phone number. Let's know about its features-
No need for a phone number
With the new barcode feature, you no longer need to share your phone number to chat with someone. Just share your unique barcode.
How to share your barcode
To use this feature, open WhatsApp and go to your settings. You will find the barcode option next to your profile. Click on it and then press the "Send" button to share your barcode with others.
Easy to scan
Scanning the barcode is easy. The recipient can scan it with their camera, and they will be immediately directed to your WhatsApp chat.
Reset option for added control
If you accidentally send your barcode to the wrong person, you can easily reset it. This will generate a new barcode, making the old one inactive.
Privacy protection
Once the barcode is reset, the previous barcode becomes useless. Even if someone tries to scan the old barcode, they won't be able to access your chat.
Why it's a game-changer for privacy
This new barcode feature allows you to add only the people you want to your chat, making your conversations safer and more private.
