How many days should these details be submitted? The Employees' Provident Fund Organization has said that high-paid employees can submit these salary details till January 31. In a statement, the organization said that this is the last chance for employees. The pending verification work will have to be done by January 31, 2025. Along with this, EPFO ​​has asked the institutions to provide information about employees with high pensions. Employers have been asked to send this information by the 15th.
No response has been received.
The pension work of 4.66 lakh employees is stuck due to not receiving the salary details of about 5 lakh employees. EPFO ​​has sent additional information about them. Out of which, the salary details of 3.1 lakh employees have not been submitted by the employer side. The Employees Provident Fund Organization has issued a public statement for them.
High Pension Scheme
The Supreme Court gave a landmark judgment on High Pension in 2022. Where it is said that if an employee wants, he can deduct 8.33 per cent of his salary or wages as a pension. Employees will get this benefit under the Employees Pension Scheme. To implement this order of the Supreme Court, an online process was started on February 26, 2023.
Here, employees are asked to be informed about the verification and combined options. Initially, the last date for this application was kept on May 3, 2023. Later, this date was extended to June 26. Even then, the date was changed and the employees were allowed to apply on July 11. Statistics say that 17.49 lakh employees applied by July 2023.
The deadline has been extended repeatedly.
After the request of the employer, EPFO ​​has repeatedly increased the limit for submitting salary details. This deadline was extended till September 30, 2023. Later it was extended again from December 31, 202,3 to May 31, 2024. Even then, it was seen that the application process was going on very slowly. Due to this EPFO ​​extended this deadline again till January 31, 2025.
