Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), giving good news to the customers, has said that the deadline for UAN activation has been extended. With its help, they will also get the facility of ELI (Employment Linked Incentive) scheme. This date has been extended till January 15.
Earlier its date was fixed as 15th December.
Let us tell you that earlier its deadline was fixed as 15th December, but now a circular has been issued by the Provident Fund Body on 20th December in which it has been told that the red line has been extended till 15th January 2025.
Through UAN activation, customers activate the universal account number (UAN) with the help of which they can avail EPFO services online. UAN is a 12-digit number which is provided to the employee. To avail the benefits of direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme, the applicant will have to link his bank account with Aadhaar card so that the amount can be transferred directly to the account.
