MP News: A very surprising case has come to light from Dewas in Madhya Pradesh. There was a stir here when a Dalit's dead body was found hanging inside the lock-up. After this incident, the family members of the deceased have accused the police of murder. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Mukesh Longre. At present, Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Nandani Uike is investigating this matter.
This is the whole matter
Police officer said while talking to the media that Mukesh Longre was called for questioning at Satwas police station on Saturday. On December 26, a woman had filed a complaint against him. While Inspector Ashish Rajput was reading the statement, he made a noose around his neck with a towel and tied it to the grill of the lock-up window and hanged himself. The police immediately took him down and took him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. However, Inspector Rajput has been suspended.
Magistrate arrived to visit the incident site
Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Nandani Uike visited the spot on Sunday morning to investigate the death. He has appointed three doctors to monitor the post-mortem process. The SP says that all other procedures prescribed under the Indian Justice Code and the guidelines of the National Human Rights Commission are being completely followed. He alleges that some politicians have hijacked this issue. They are doing politics in this.
The entire staff should be suspended
For this reason, his family members have refused to allow post-mortem until the entire staff of the police station is suspended. SP says that this is an irrational demand. The accused inspector has already been suspended as the death occurred while he was in charge. Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased alleged that the police had asked for bribe to reduce the seriousness of the action taken against them in connection with the woman's complaint. People have demonstrated outside the police station.
Amidst the protests that continued on Sunday, the family members of Mukesh Longre have accused the police of murder. Attacking Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Congress also demonstrated outside Satwas police station, in which party state unit president Jitu Patwari also participated. He said, “Jungle raj continues in Madhya Pradesh. A Dalit man was murdered inside the police station. The Chief Minister should take full responsibility for this incident. The entire staff of the police station should be suspended.”
