Andhra Pradesh: A fire broke out at MetroChem API Pvt Ltd, a pharmaceutical company located in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City in Parawada, Anakapalli district, early on Tuesday morning. According to the police, the fire started at around 6:30 AM in the effluent treatment plant.
The flames were swiftly contained, with fire tenders arriving on the scene immediately after the fire was reported. Within just 20 minutes, the situation was under control, and there were no injuries reported, officials confirmed.
Anakapalli Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha stated that the fire was quickly extinguished thanks to the prompt response of the fire department. "The fire broke out in the effluent treatment plant. Fire tenders reached the site without delay, and the fire was brought under control in 20 minutes," Sinha said.
Local police, including factory inspectors, police, and revenue department officials, will now conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, and operations at the plant are expected to resume soon after the investigation.
