WhatsApp is preparing to bring its Events feature to personal chats soon. The Meta-owned messaging platform first introduced this feature in WhatsApp Communities in May 2024. Now according to reports, the company is also testing this feature in personal chats, which will benefit users of both Android and iOS platforms.
This feature can soon be released for all users globally. Earlier, WhatsApp was testing a feature that would allow users to add music to their status updates, just like it is available on Instagram.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently testing a feature that will allow users to create and share events in personal chats. Currently, this feature is only available in group chats and communities. It is being tested for beta users of Android (version 2.25.3.6) and iOS (version 25.2.10.73).
Some beta testers have received this event scheduling feature and it is being gradually released to other users. According to reports, this feature may also be available to general users in the coming months. Earlier, users had to create two-person groups to schedule events, but after this new update, they will be able to organize it directly in individual chats.
This feature will allow WhatsApp users to schedule and manage events directly in private conversations. According to the report, this feature will reduce the need to send messages repeatedly by collating the necessary information in a single message.
