On February 8, released Palestinian prisoners were welcomed with celebrations by friends and family in Gaza’s Khan Younis. This came as part of a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which saw Hamas hand over three Israeli hostages. In return, Israel released 183 Palestinian prisoners, including some convicted of deadly attacks.
