WhatsApp, an instant messaging app owned by Meta, has been attempting to roll out a number of customized features over the last several months. The software has recently released a number of upgrades, such as event scheduling, filters, and video call backdrops. Recently, WhatsApp introduced a new feature that lets users add new backgrounds and change the chat layout.

New Wallpapers & Themes for WhatsApp Chat
WhatsApp users may now choose several chat themes to “reflect their style” and customize their chat experience. Along with vibrant chat bubbles, this new feature gives each conversation a distinct backdrop and color palette. Preset chat themes and the option to alter backgrounds and bubbles are two ways WhatsApp improves personalization, enabling users to mix and match color schemes to suit their tastes.
For users of the Meta platform, this is hardly a novel idea since Instagram already offers chat themes. WhatsApp, however, offers more customization possibilities than Instagram’s default selections.
Furthermore, WhatsApp has added a fresh selection of conversation themes while preserving the option for users to add backdrops from their camera roll.
How to Modify the Themes of WhatsApp Chats
On your phone, launch WhatsApp.
Navigate to Settings and choose Chats.
Choose the default chat theme.
Personalize the theme to your liking.
To customize the chat for each individual contact, hit the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and choose the Chat theme.
This functionality has begun to roll out internationally on WhatsApp and will be accessible to all users in the next weeks. Update WhatsApp to take advantage of the newest features, such as new backgrounds and chat themes.
