Renowned designer Manish Malhotra revealed that Nita Ambani’s regal blue saree was an heirloom piece, meticulously revived by saree revivalist Zenobia S. Davar. Adorned with intricate floral embroidery in multiple hues, the saree beautifully encapsulated generations of artisanal excellence.

The Parsi Gara saree holds deep cultural significance within the Parsi community, often worn at weddings and special occasions. Given the labour-intensive craftsmanship, the embroidery process alone can take anywhere from three weeks to two months, involving a team of skilled artisans.

The Ensemble: A Fusion of Tradition and Couture

To complement the saree, Nita Ambani wore a custom blouse designed by Manish Malhotra, seamlessly blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary couture. Sharing his thoughts on the look, the designer expressed, “This ensemble bridges the rich tapestry of cultural heritage with modern styling… The process of conceptualizing archival embroideries and discussing handlooms with Nita is always a cherished experience."
